Victor Records Set P-12, “Dinner Music – Famous Serenades” (issued in 1940)
The Victor P- series was the popular album set series, consisting almost entirely of sets of three or four 10″ Black Label records. Set P-12 was the first of several volumes of “Dinner Music” featuring light classical fare, mostly arranged for salon orchestras. All of the recordings in Set P-12 are taken from English HMV or German Electrola matrices. Only one of the sides is by the Virtuoso String Quartet. The contents of this set are as follows:
